Karolina Mykolayivna Protsenko

Karolina Mykolayivna Protsenko, born October 3, 2008, in Kyiv, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian-born violinist, singer, and internet celebrity known for her contemporary pop music performances in the United States. She began playing the violin at age six after her family moved to California in 2015. Karolina gained fame through street performances, primarily at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California, starting in 2017. Her YouTube channel, "Karolina Protsenko Violin," has over 8.3 million subscribers and 1.9 billion views as of 2024, featuring covers of songs like "Despacito," "Hallelujah," and "Señorita." She has released five albums: My Dream (2018), FLY (2018), Sunflower (2019), Sky (2019), and Finally Together (2022). Karolina has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2019) and The Kelly Clarkson Show (2022), performing a duet with Lindsey Stirling. In November 2023, she made her orchestral debut with Orchestra Nova LA, and in January 2024, she performed Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto at a Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra masterclass.
